AAA: Rochester Red Wings 8, Norfolk Tides 6

Despite a shaky start from SP Logan Darnell and blowing an early lead, the Red Wings got the win thanks to a two-run blast by DH Adam Brett Walker that broke up the tie in the bottom of the 8th inning. Walker had a strong day overall, going 2-for-3 with a triple, a walk, two RBI, and three runs scored in addition to the home run.

As mentioned, it was a questionable start for Darnell, who only went 3.2 innings. He allowed four earned runs on eight hits and one walk.

1B Byung Ho Park hit a double. So did CF Darin Mastroianni and SS Wilfredo Tovar. RF Daniel Palka went 0-for-4 with a strikeout.

AA: Mobile BayBears 20, Chattanooga Lookouts 2

This is fine.

High A: Ft. Myers Miracle 4, Tampa Yankees 3

The Miracle were up by one-run in the 7th inning when God granted the miracle a Miracle, filling the sky with thunder and lightening that delayed the game. After 40 or so minutes everyone just said screw it and declared the Miracle winners. A true miracle!

The Miracle scored all four of their runs in the first two innings. In the top of the first, SS Nick Gordon hit and RBI single to extend his hitting streak to ten games and put the Miracle ahead early. In the top of the second, CF LaMonte Wade walked and DH A.J. Murray and RF Joe Maloney hit back-to-back doubles. CF Daniel Kihle singled to drive in the third and final run of the inning (and game) for the Miracle, but as mentioned, that’s all they needed.

Low A: Cedar Rapids Kernels 6, Lake County Captains 1

SP Dereck Rodriguez, son of Pudge, did it! Little Pudgie earned his second win of the season yesterday, giving up only one earned run over 6 innings. He walked one and struck-out four.

1B Zander Wiel, a true warrior, hit a two run home run and an RBI double to help support D-Rod’s efforts.

Rookie: Danville Braves 8, Elizabethton Twins 6

Twins C Bryant Hayman hit a home run, Roberto Gonzalez hit two doubles, and RF Alex Kirilloff hit one double, but the baby Twins lost to the baby Braves. Sad face.

Today’s errors: SS Brandon Lopez had a bad throw; 3B Trey Cabbage also had a bad throw; and RF Roberto Gonzalez messed up trying to field a ball.
