AAA: Durham Bulls 9, Rochester Red Wings 5
The Durham Bulls scored five runs in the top of the tenth to win this heart-breaker of a game. I’m not even sure how it happened because according to the box score, the Red Wings gave up one earned run and nine unearned runs, but the score was 9-5.
Never underestimate baseball.
But we got another PARK BANG!!!!!! DH Byung Ho PArk was the only one who tried to fight pack in the bottom of the 10th with his solo shot, but it wasn’t enough.
LF Adam Brett Walker and 2B Jorge “Trade Brian Dozier Please”Polanco also hit home runs earlier in the game. Daniel Palka went 0-for-5 with three strikeouts.
AA: Chattanooga Lookouts 3, Mobile BayBears 1
The Lookouts made a wild comeback, scoring all three of their runs in the bottom of the eight inning to stun the BayBears. C Mitch Garver, of course, was a star, going 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. RF Edgar Corcino went 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI, and a run scored.
SP Stephen Gonsalves had a great start for the Lookouts. He last 7 innings and gave up only one earned run on TWO HITS. Oh and he struck-out NINE BATTERS.
High A: Lakeland Flying Tigers 6, Ft. Myers Miracle 4
Miracle SP Miles Nordgren didn’t have his strongest start, giving up five eafrned runs in 6 innings pitched. He did strike-out five batters, though.
Miracle 1B T.J. White was by far the offensive stand-out in the game. He went 3-for-5 with a double, a trible, and two runs scored.
Low A: Cedar Rapids Kernels 3, Fort Wayne TinCaps 2
Kernels started Cody Stashak threw a great one, going 6 innings and allowing only two earned runs on six hits. He also walked one and stuck-out two.
None other than 2B Luis Arraez ws the offensive star for the Kernels, going 3-for-4 with a triple, a walk, and two runs scored.
Rookie: Princeton Rays 16, Elizabethton Twins 9
Are you kidding me right now?
Today’s errors: LF Shane Carrier made a fielding error; so did RF Alex Kirilloff; and you bet 3B Travis Blankenhorn wasn’t missing this party either.
