Twins 4, Tigers 1: Ninth inning dingers sink Detroit

It was a close game, until Max Kepler stepped to the plate in the ninth.

This game was still tied 1-1 going into the 9th inning, but Max Kepler and Eddie Rosario both hit big dongs off Francisco Rodriguez to put the Twins ahead for the win.

Joe Mauer led off the scoring right for the Twins, drawing a four base walk hitting a solo home run in the top of the first inning. Unfortunately, the small lead was short lived as Ervin Santana gave up a home run to Ian Kinsler on his first pitch of the game.

Seriously, though, the Twins only got four hits all game. The good news about that is that all four batters who got a hit scored. The Tigers had nine hits in the game, but only managed to score one.
