For the 4th time in eight games, according to Dick'nBert, a Twins starter gave up a HR on their first pitch of the game, this time Adam Jones off of Kyle Gibson, Joe Mauer tied it up with an RBI triple in the bottom half.

The 4th inning wasn't so good for Gibby, it could've been worse though. The defense bailed him out a couple of times by getting the out at home, like this one by Eduardo Escobar and this one by Kepler. You can only do that so many times before someone like J.J. Hardy dyno-mites a liner to left to give the O's the lead.

Bottom of the 6th Max "Der Meisterschlager" Kepler hung this schwanstücker to tie it up, 2-2.

With two on and one out in the bottom of the 7th, Brian Dozier singled a run in for the Twins to give the Twins the lead. Then Kepler RBI'd another run in and Escobar hit a triple to put the Twins up 6-2.

Gibson 6.0 IP, 9 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 6 K

Jimenez 5.0 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 3 BB, 8 K

W: Pressly (5-5)

L: Despaigne (0-2)

STUDS:

Gibson 9 hits, but a quality start by a Twins pitcher is studworthy

Mauer, 2 for 4, 3b, RBI, BB, R

Kepler, 2 for 3, HR, 2 RBI, 2 R, BB

Nunez, I'm gonna miss watching your helmet fall off, Brah. Get a ring out of this.

DUDS:

None. The Twins won, pay attention.
