Eddie Rosario was called up (and will be in uniform today), and Kevin Jepsen was designated for assignment.
Rosario was hitting very well in Rochester, posting a .319/.343/.538 line at the plate with 7 home runs. He still only walked about 4% of the time (that's double what he was doing here so... progress?), which is still his main issue.
Kevin Jepsen fell off a cliff this year, after being quite decent for the Twins in 2015. The strikeouts are down (8.5 to 6.5 K/9) and the home runs are way up (0.7 to 2.1 HR/9). This has inflated his ERA and FIP to over well over 5. The Twins first demoted him from the closer role, but he still struggled.
Kevin Jepsen DFA'd and Eddie Rosario called up from Rochester. Still no DL move for Escobar.
