Game CIII: White Sox @ Twins

Why are the Sox referred to colloquially as "Good Guys"? Someone explain this to me. Not that I think they're bad, it's just a strange nickname.

Sox starter Miguel Gonzalez is one of those never-say-die guys you gotta love. An international signee by Anaheim, Rule 5 pickup by Boston, he finally hit the bigs at age 28 with Baltimore. This is his fifth MLB season, and in only one of those did he spend all year in the majors. He's probably having his best year right now. Throws the usual four pitches at usual #5 guy speeds, and will walk you. Digits:

Let me throw one more set of Milone stats at you: .458/.941/1.382. That's OPS of hitters facing him the first/second/third times this year. Big shock, right? But guess what his career numbers are? .740/.741/.776. Isn't that bizarre?
