With Trevor May's rehab stint over, and Eddie Rosario / Kennys Vargas recently given last new chances in the bigs, either an ailing Twin had to be put on the DL or someone required ceremonial execution before May's return.
The scapegoat ended up being Buddy Boshers, who had an effective stint in relief for the MLB club: 13.0 IP, 9 H, 4 R, 2 ER, 1 HR, 2 BB, 14 SO, 1.38 ERA, 2.48 FIP. Not too shabby.
May returns to a last-place team and Boshers goes to a first-place one. Alas, while the mosquitoes in New York aren't anywhere near so swarmy as here, they still have them. Time to put a new AAA team in Portland, OR, Twins! No mosquitoes! If you want guys to enjoy & learn from their minors experience, the least you can do is spare them those whining vampire gnats.
Thanks, My Buddy, and hope we see you again!
