The only important thing that happened in this game is that Byron Buxton did something to his knee crashing into the outfield wall. Afterwards, he could not put weight on it, and was carted off the field. The news at this time (late Friday evening) is that it is a knee contusion. If this was the Rangers medical staff, that is a major source of relief. If this was the Twins medical staff, feel free to assume Buxton's leg was sawed off by a Civil War re-enactor.
Also the Twins lost 6-5 to the Rangers.
STUDS:
- Miguel Sano. The Twins slugger stroked a 3-run dong to give the Twins a short-lived 5-4 lead.
- Taylor Rogers. Pitched a competent inning of high-leverage relief after giving up a leadoff double in the 7th.
DUDS:
- Ryan Pressly. We don't have a "MEH" category, which is where Kyle Gibson's start would go, but Pressly immediately lost the bullshit lead Gibson gave him in the 6th.
- Kennys Vargas. Led off the 8th with a double, then got doubled off on a grounder because he's kinda pudgy.
