AAA: Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders 7, Rochester Red Wings 5

SP Jose Berrios took the loss yesterday against the RailRiders in somewhat of a sloppy game. Berrios have up three earned runs over 5.2 innings, including a two-run homerun to 1B Tyler Austin just before Berrios was yanked in the 6th inning. And although Berrios only gave up three earned runs, he also committed an error fielding a catch and had a wild pitch that added three unearned runs onto his line too.

3B Tommy Field was the offensive star of the game for the Red Wings, and was just a home run short of the cycle. DH Adam Brett Walker also had a nice game, going 3-for-4 with a walk.

RF Daniel Palka went 1-for-5 with two strikeouts. DH/1B Byung Ho Park is nursing a sore wrist and did not play.

AA: Birmingham Barons 10, Chattanooga Lookouts 5

SP Kohl Stewart only lasted 3.2 innings and gave up eleven hits and seven runs (only four of which were actually earned, though). 3B Niko Goodrum committed a throwing error and 1B D.J. Hicks committed a fielding error to help out with that score.

2B Ryan Walker went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, and three runs scored.

Could have used Daniel Palka, maybe.

High A: Dunedin Blue Jays 2, Ft. Myers Miracle 1

Despite the awesome effort of SP Randy LeBlanc, who gave up only one earned run and struck-out ten over 7 innings, the Miracle lost yesterday. In what seems to be a theme for today, it was an unearned run that did the Miracle in. Thanks for that throwing error, 3B T.J. White.

The only Miracle run of the game, and the only Miracle batter with more than 1 hit, was SS Nick Gordon. He went 2-for-4 with a double.

Low A: Kane County Cougars 1, Cedar Rapids Kernels 0

Yet another close loss. Kenerls SP Lachlan Wells gave up the only run of the game on just four hits over 5 inning pitched, but that was enough. The Cougars were able to string together a bunch of relievers to hold the Kernels scoreless.

Rookie: Elizabethton Twins at Bristol Pirates

Postponed due to rain... so at least they didn’t lose?
