There was a three-hour rain delay on Friday. That's the first thing you need to know.

The second thing you need to know is the Twins lost in the middle of the goddamn night, 5-4.

The third thing you need to know is that Jose Berrios looked shaky and also had some bad luck. The latter happened when a bad hop turned a double play into a bruise on Trevor Plouffe's cheek and/or collarbone; the former happened when the next two batters walked on four pitches with the bases loaded.

The fourth thing you need to know is that Brian Dozier hit another dinger. That's 28.

The fifth thing you need to know is that, with a giant-ass squall line bearing down on the Kansas City metroplex, Jorge Polanco smacked a 2-run double to knot the game at 4-4 in the top of the 5th. The game was delayed immediately after.

The sixth thing you need to know is that an entire bank of stadium lights crapped out in the 6th inning, causing another delay. Only about 15-20 minutes this time.

The seventh thing you need to know is that with the bases loaded and two outs in the 7th, Max Kepler grounded out.

The eighth thing you need to know is that this stupid fucking game went into extra innings.

The ninth thing you need to know is that Eric Hosmer, with two runners on and no one out in the 11th, bunted twice. Twice! (Ned Yost.) Both went foul, so he ended up lacing a hit over Kepler's head and ending the game. At 2:15 AM.
