Tigers 9, Twins 4: Duffey struggles again

Once again, the formula of allowing too many hits and home runs hurt Tyler Duffey.

Bad news, everybody. Tyler Duffey’s ERA is back above six after allowing six runs in just three innings last night. Specifically, a five-run 3rd inning that was capped by a two-run homer from Justin Upton was where it all unraveled.

Miguel Cabrera achieved the classic “just a triple short of the cycle” as he had a single, two doubles, and a home run. Upton had three RBI. Even the .225 hitting Andrew Romine went 2-for-3 with a walk.

As for the Twins, we got to see Brian Dozier sock his 30th dinger of the year and Robbie Grossman added in his ninth. Beyond that, not much to report. Sad face.
