AAA: Rochester Red Wings 5, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders 4

In an 11 inning affair, Rochester pulled off a victory with SS Wilfredo Tovar’s 11th inning bases-loaded-walk being the run that put them on top for good. That is pretty damn Twinsy. CF Byron Buxton went 2/6 with a solo HR, but 3 strikeouts. C Mitch Garver hit a HR of his own, this one being a 2-run shot. SP Nick Greenwood went 7 innings and gave up 2 runs on 2 hits. RP Edward Mujica got the save in the 11th.

AA: Chattanooga Lookouts 3, Mississippi Braves 1

Solid pitching and a a few scattered runs brought the Lookouts another win. SP Stephen Gonsalves, who is quickly turning into one of Minnesota's brightest pitching prospects, continued his push with 5.2 scoreless innings with 6 Ks and 2 walks allowed. On the offensive side, a triple by RF Edgar Corcino did 23 of the damage. The other run was from a solo shot by LF Travis Harrison.

High A: Jupiter Hammerheads 3, Fort Myers Miracle 0

Being forced to play on a gas giant didn’t help the Miracle who were shut out by Jupiter SP Jorgan Cavanerio. Miracle SP Sam Clay went 5 innings and allowed all 3 Hammerhead runs. The bats were silent, all 5 miracle hits were singles and LF Brad Hartong was the only Miracle to get on base more than once.

Low A: Cedar Rapids Kernels 7, Clinton Lumberkings 2

Cedar Rapids won its 6th straight, putting them very close to clinching a playoff spot, if that matters at all to you. 2B Luis Arraez, 1B Zander Wiel, and DH Travis Blankenhorn each had 2 RBIs and multi-hit days. Despite 7 runs, no Kernel went deep. SP Sam Gibbons 6 innings, allowing 2 runs. He didn’t walk anybody, but he only struck out 2. As a side note I am in love with the name "Zander Wiel."

Rookie: Elizabethton Twins 1, Greenville Astros 0

In a rare error-less rookie league game, the Baby Twins and ‘Stros found themselves in a pitchers duel. SP Tyler Wells went 6 innings, giving up only 2 hits while walking 2 and striking out 3. Elizabethton’s 4 hits were all singles. SS Ariel Montesino drove in the only run. RF Alex Kiriloff went 0/3 with a walk.
