AAA: Rochester Red Wings 3, Pawtucket Red Sox 2

SS Wilfredo Tovar hit a solo home run and DH Daniel Palka doubled as the Red Wings inched-out the Red Sox 3-2. The Red Wings also scored one of their runs unearned thanks to a throwing error. Pretty cool since that was the difference maker.

3B Trevor Plouffe, on rehab assignment, went 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored.

RP Pat Light, newly acquired for Fernando Abad, made his debut for the Twins organization as well. He pitched one scoreless inning, giving up one walk and striking-out one batter.

AA: Mobile BayBears 4, Chattanooga Lookouts 3 (Game 1)

The BayBears scored four runs in the first 2 innings, and despite a late rally, it was just too much for the Lookouts to overcome.

As for good news: SS Niko Goodrum hit a home run, his second of the year in AA. 2B Engelb Vielma also went 2-for-2 with a walk and two runs scored.

SP David Hulbut started the game, and pitched all 6 innings of the rain-shortened double-header game. He gave up all four earned runs (duh) and struck-out six. That was enough to earn the official loss.

AA: Mobile BayBears 5, Chattanooga Lookouts 4 (Game 2)

Once again, the Lookouts dropped a close one—this one, a second game of a double header in 11 innings (ouch). 2B Levi Michael scored a go-ahead run for the Lookouts on a passed ball in the top of the 11th, but unfortunately, the BayBears answered in the bottom of the inning on a walk-off single by CF Evan Marzilli.

SP Felix Jorge had a decent start for the Lookouts, lasting 5.2 innings and giving up two earned runs on seven hits. He struck-out four. RP Zack Jones, not to be out-done, pitched 2 shut-out innings, striking out five.

High A: Bradenton Marauders 9, Ft. Myers Miracle 5

Ft. Myers score two runs in the 8th inning in some-what of a late comeback that was never meant to be. The Miracle pitching was simply bad today. SP Randy LeBlanc gave up five runs on nine hits before being yanked in the 3rd inning. RP Todd Van Steensel pitched the final 2 innings of the game and managed to give up four earned-runs himself.

CF LaMonte Wade was the offensive star for the Miracle, going 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored.

Low A: Cedar Rapids Kernels 4, Clinton LumberKings 3

A win! A win! Kernels C Kevin Garcia hit the RBI double that broke up the tie and led the Kernels to a win in the bottom of the 8th inning. Long live Garcia!

SS Sean Miller also had quite the day at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, and two runs scored.
