The Twins are hoping to get a win today and avoid getting swept by the Tigers.

Taking the mound today for the Twins will be Phil Hughes (RHP, 1-0, 1.50 ERA). "Spare Ribs" last pitched against the White Sox where he gave up just one run and five hits over six innings while striking out three although the defense helped him out quite a bit. Miguel Cabrera has three HRs and a .400 BA against Hughes in his last 30 tries.

Pitching for the Motown Marmalades will be Jordan Zimmermann (RHP, 1-0, 1.50 ERA). "Zimmboni" gave up one run, four hits, and a walk with three strikeouts in six innings of work against the diseased Red Sox in his last game. Zimmerman doesn't always have the best command and is known for getting outs by inducing poor contact rather than striking batters out. Look for the Twins to sign him sooner or later. Miguel Sano has a HR off of him in seven AB.

Let's hope for a more normal Molly lineup thi... THERE IT IS!
