Indians 3, Twins 1: Offense leaves 12 on base

Gibson shaky and missed chances on offense for the Twins in 3-1 loss.

Tough loss as Twins fall 3-1 to the Indians

The Twins got to Danny Salazar early tonight with six baserunners on in the first two innings, including a based loaded situation in the first but only managed to bring one run in. From there Salazar seemed to settle in and kept the Twins relatively off the basepaths.

Kyle Gibson didn’t have his best pitch control going for him tonight getting behind batters early in the counts but somehow managed to hold the Indians to only 3 runs.

The Indians bullpen of Brian Shaw and Andrew Miller took over in the 7th and did what they do best as each pitched a scoreless frame.

Taylor Rogers and Tyler Duffey on in relief pitched great keeping the Twins in the game and locking down the Indians offense for the final three innings.

The Twins managed to load the bases in the ninth on the normally reliable Cody Allen but once again failed to score with the game ending in a bases loaded lazy fly ball to center by Joe Mauer.
