Check it out, the Twins are back in the win column. In a tightly-contested AL Central, every team is within 2 games of first place, and while it's early, that's the smallest difference between first and last in any division this year (though the NL Central is close with the Cardinals just 2 1/2 games behind the Cubs).
Adalberto Mejia takes the mound for the Twins and he's looking to build off his last start. Mejia rebounded nicely after his poor 1 2/3 inning debut by going 5 innings in his second matchup against the White Sox, but he faces a tough challenge with a righthanded-heavy lineup today. Miguel Cabrera had to leave last night's game with a groin strain, so perhaps he'll get a bit of a break if Miggy is unable to stay in the lineup.
Facing Mejia on the mound is fellow young lefty Matthew Boyd. Making his fourth start of the season, Boyd has struggled with allowing home runs in 33 appearances split between the past two seasons in the majors. The Twins have stacked their lineup with as many righthanded hitters as possible, so I'm sure the fans in the left field Home Run Porch should have their gloves ready throughout the entire game.
