Rained too much, so no game.

Double-A: Chattanooga Lookouts off

No game here because one wasn’t even scheduled!

High-A: Ft. Myers Miracle 2, Daytona Tortugas 1

Who likes walk-off home runs? I do, and so does C Brian Navarreto, who hit one here for the Miracle in the bottom of the tenth inning. He also hit a double, which was the only other extra-base hit in the game for the Miracle.

CF Zack Granite, still working his way back after starting the season on the disabled list, when 3-for-3 with three stolen bases. Talk about wheels! He also scored the Miracle’s only other run of the game.

SP Cody Stashak pitched. He was good. He went six innings. He gave up only one run. He struck otu seven!

Low-A: Cedar Rapids Kernels 7, Lake County Captains 3

One of the few things better than a walk-off home run? Hitting two home runs in one game! That’s what 1B Lewin Diaz did yesterday as the Kernels smashed the Captains. He drove in five of the Kernels’ seven runs, in fact.

It was also a good game for CF Aaron Whitefield, who when 3-for-4 with a home run and a double—though he was caught stealing.

And can we talk about SS Jermaine Palacios? The guy is still red hot, going 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored yesterday. He’s now hitting .398 through 93 at-bats in Low-A this year.

On the mound for the Kernels was the Twins-y named SP Eduardo Del Rosario, who did eh. Gave up three runs over four innings, but did strike out four. RP Hector Lujan, who relieved Rosario after the fourth innings, was much more impressive, pitching three hit-less and scoreless innings (though he did walk one).
