It’s MLB draft day! Did you hear the Minnesota Twins have the first overall pick this year? They do, because they were the worst team in baseball last year. Now, however? They’re in first place in the AL Central. It’s the first time a first place team has picked first overall since... the Minnesota Twins in 2001. Remember that? They picked some guy named Joe Mauer over Mark Prior, and everyone was incensed.

In past years the MLB Draft was held Thursday through Saturday, but this year it will take place Monday through Wednesday. Round 1, the Supplemental Round, and Round 2 will all take place tonight.

The gates at Target Field will open tonight at 5:30 pm CT, and the Twins will be showing the draft live on the jumbotron along with some other content.

Can’t get to Target Field in person? Here’s how you can follow all the drafting action from home:

Monday June 12: Rounds 1-2

Time - 6:00 pm CT

TV - MLB Network

Online - MLB.com

Tuesday June 13: Rounds 3-10

Time - 12:00 pm CT

TV - None

Online - MLB.com

Wednesday June 14: Rounds 11-40

Of course, there’s more to the draft than just the Twins’ first-overall pick. For some reason all the other teams get to make picks too.
