Twins won the first two games of the series against the White Sox (which is cool when two of your five starters are able to give you a decent shot at winning and those were the two starters) and are hoping for the third.

FSN has decided to pick up the rest of the weekday day games they were going to pass over so secret day games may be a thing of the past. It was a good excuse to listen to Dazzle'nCorey whom I normally listen to on my car radio when I'm driving.

Pitching for the Twins today will be lefty Nik Turley (LHP, 0-1, 12.46 ERA). Nik "No Use For a Nickname Yet" Turley has been the starter in two games for the Twins and gave up a total of 12 earned runs off of 17 hits over 8.2 innings in those two games. Before that, he bounced back and forth between Chattanooga and Rochester. In fact, On June 2nd he was in Chattanooga, and on June 6th he was a Red Wing, five days later he was called up by the Twins. So now you're caught up on the Turley saga. The good news about Nik is his pitches break a lot of bats, so the Twins may win in a war of attrition.

Hurling for the South Siders will be southpaw Jose Quintana (LHP, 3-8, 5.07 ERA). "Q" (if that's not his nickname someone should get arrested because that's just a crime) had a rough May, giving up a combined 15 runs in two back to back starts. Since then he's been looking better, having a 3.12 ERA in his last three games. He pitched over six innings for the first time this season, holding the Blue Jays to two runs over seven innings in his last start.
