Triple-A: Rochester Red Wings 3, Buffalo Bisons 1

C Mitch Garver, RF Niko Goodrum, and CF Zack Granite powered the Red Wings to this win. The bad news is that each of the three home runs were solo shots, but whatever! It was enough.

Part of the reason it was enough was because of the good pitching. SP Hector Santiago, making his first rehab start in Triple-A, pitched three scoreless and hitless innings. He did walk two guys, though. And get this, RP Phil Hughes also pitched! He only did one inning, but it was also hit-less. Only one walk for Phil.

RP D.J. Baxendale gave up the only run for the Bisons. Also appearing in the game was RP Mason Melotakis, who still has a 0.00 ERA in Triple-A, and RP Trevor Hildenberger who threw 1.2 scoreless innings for the same. He now has a 2.05 ERA on the year.

Double-A: Chattanooga Lookouts off

Still the Double-A All-Star Break (even though they didn’t even get to play the game due to rain).

High-A: Ft. Myers Miracle 3, Jupiter Hammerheads 0

Great start for Miracle SP Cody Stashak! Stashak gave up only one hit and two walks over six scoreless innings of work. He also struck out seven batters for the fourth time this year.

The bullpen was also strong. RP Andrew Vasquez three 2 perfect innings and struck out five batters (that’s all but one!) RP Sam Clay closed out the game, giving up only one hit. He has a 2.12 ERA in Double-A this year.

Low-A: Cedar Rapids Kernels off

Still the All-Star break!
