According to beat writer extraordinaire Mike Berardino, the Twins will throw Bartolo Colon on Tuesday.
Buxton to DL. Colon to start Tuesday vs NYY

This is a nationally-televised baseball game on ESPN. Look out, world. Here we come.
According to Big Mikey B., the Falvine Bros. were impressed enough by Big Sexy’s Thursday start for the Rochester Red Wings. Despite his fastball never reaching 90 mph, the consensus is that Colon’s command is the issue more than his velocity is. He’ll get an opportunity to work out those kinks against the Yankees’ lineup. We’ll see just how effectively wild he can be.
In related news, as per that same tweet, Byron Buxton will hit the 10-day DL with a left groin strain. Joe Mauer was reinstated from his back-related DL stint, and will play tonight against Houston. Kennys Vargas, who suffered a foot injury last night, may hit the disabled list himself to make room for Colon — or, he may just be sent back to Rochester.
