Kyle Gibson is an enigma, and he cannot be explained. Maybe he'll be ok, maybe he'll implode. Going up against this Astros lineup I'm leaning towards the latter, but baseball is weird.
The Astros answer with Mike Fiers (5-4, 3.84 ERA, 5.30 FIP). He throws a standard four-pitch mix, but also has a cutter. Fiers is a strikeout pitcher, but struggles with walks. In his last two starts (10 IP) he's walked 8 guys. He struggled with HR's a lot at the beginning of the year, but has only allowed 1 in his last 47 IP. As Bert would say, "he's due!" My back-of-the-napkin calculation is that he "should have" given up 5 or 6 homers in that stretch (based on fly balls).
