Second half predictions for the 2017 Twins

I asked the Twinkie Town community for their predictions for the rest of the Twins season, and now we’re going to vote on which of these is most likely to actually happen.

Last week I asked you all about your second-half predictions for the Minnesota Twins’ 2017 season, since we’re past the All-Star Break and all. Three of you wrote FanPosts about your predictions.

Let’s just say some of you have very active imaginations.

NJG319 made multiple predictions, one of which includes Bartolo Colon winning the Cy Young Award. Another is that Bartolo Colon will win the AL MVP. More realistically, they also predict Colon will hit 70 home runs before the end of the season. Go check out their FanPost, which includes a cool poll.

Interestingly enough, some of you had overlapping predictions. Both CG19 and Too Rich To Write Checks predicted that the Twins will face the Yankees in the Wild Card game next October. However, CG19 predicted the Twins would lose the Wild Card game, while Too Rich To Write Checks predicted the Twins would win (but then ultimately lose to the Astros).

CG19 also predicted in their FanPost that the Twins would trade Robbie Grossman and sign Pablo Sandoval, among other things.

Too Rich To Write Checks, who was probably the most realistic in their FanPost, predicted that the Twins will come out hot out of the All-Star Break, slump when the bullpen arms get tired, but then bounce back and win between 85 and 90 games.
