Fanpost Friday: Joe Nathan for Twins Hall of Fame

I know I chose an obvious one, but Joe Nathan definitely deserves to be in the Twins Hall of Fame. In fact, the only reason he isn't in there is probably because he was pitching for the AAA Syracuse Chiefs this season until being released on May 31. Sadly, he's probably almost done which means we should add him in soon. Either that, or sign him and call him up in September just for fun.

Joe Nathan pitched for the Twins from 2004-2011 and it feels like he was here longer. He had 260 saves, 561 strikeouts, and a 2.16 ERA in 463.1 innings for the Twins. His 377 saves rank 8th in MLB history and his 376 saves in the AL are 2nd in AL history. He also has the most saves in Twins history. He was a very important part of the team for many years and was one of the best closers in the league during his prime. He should definitely go in the Twins Hall of Fame and maybe even the MLB Hall of Fame if they decide to value closers. Definitely an obvious choice.
