Know Thine Enemy, Eh?: Bluebird Banter

In today's Player's Weekend matchup, it'll be G-Money vs. Estradabien. That is, Dillon Gee and Marco Estrada. Gee's nickname is more or less self explanatory: his name starts with a G, is pronounced "G," and he presumably makes a lot of money. He may also say to himself, "Gee, I have a lot of money," another possible nickname origin. Or, one time, he stumbled over the words "good morning" and it came out "G-Money," and he's referencing that. I'm inclined to go with that one.

Estradabien is, of course, Marco Estrada, whose nickname is a play on the Spanish words "sera bien," meaning "will be well." Twins fans are, of course, hoping that Estrada will not be well today, and will instead decide to give up a lot of runs. However, the nickname could easily refer to Marco's general state of health; perhaps he has a powerful immune system and, no matter what, "will be well." Personally, I would have gone with "The Devil Wears Estrada."

As for MY nicknames -- because we all know you're here for me -- I have a few, although none of them quite stick to the point that people actually call me these things. I've heard B.B. (like the gun, also like my initials), B-squared (like the math, also like my initials), Webb (this was back when Brandon Webb existed), and [redacted] (some people are mean.) The only one I hear on a regular basis is "Brando," which is probably the best one, because it drops just one letter from my name and references a person with whom I share a career.
