First Pitch: 6:15 PM CDT TV: FSN Radio: Go 96.3, TIBN Kno' Thin' Enem': Royals Review
Four weekends remain in the regular season, and tonight, the Twins have a chance to win one of their four remaining weekend series. Already up two games to none on the Kansas City Royals, Minnesota will send out Jose Berrios to finish off the boys in royal blue.
Kansas City's offering is one "Jakob" Junis, a 24-year-old rookie who's worked his way up KC's farm since 2012. Junis has a track record of initially struggling after a promotion, before turning it around and posting dominating numbers. He's reached more of a middle ground in his first MLB season, with a 4.48 ERA and 7.9 K/9 in 11 starts.
Berrios took the loss his last time out, but has thrown seven shutout innings in two of his last four starts (vs. Arizona and vs. Chicago.) Maybe Kyle Gibson can give him some tips on late-season consistency.
GO TWINS GO!!!
