Monday Morning Minnesota: Brewers offer Darvish a contract

My condolences to football fans as the Vikings apparently lost or whatever. You only have yourself to blame for every feeling hopeful about a Minnesota-based sports team in the playoffs. • It seems the Brewers have offered the apple of the Twin’s eye, Yu Darvish, a contract. I guess at least some team trying to sign some player is a slight improvement, but hopefully the Twins can still nab him.
• The Runner Sports has a piece on Jim Kaat joining the organization as a special assistant. I don’t actually have anything to say about it other than that it is a thing to link to and I’m very desperate for those right now.
• Justin Morneau accepted the apology of the guy whose knee smashing into his head gave him the infamous concussion.
• It might almost be baseball season. Let’s ask a professional.
