Da links:

  • There’s been some turnover among Twins beat writers in the past few months. As previously mentioned, Mike Berardino left the Pioneer Press at the end of the season, and we now know Betsy Helfand will be taking over for him.
  • Also on the move is Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com. Remember when Twinkie Town gave Rhett the welcome of a lifetime when he took the Twins beat in 2011? You should revisit that post. Anyway, Rhett is moving back to his fancy-pants home in California to cover the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, and taking his place to cover the Twins is Do-Hyoung Park.
  • As long as we’re on the subject of changing positions, look out for an exciting announcement here at Twinkie Town later today. [EDIT: Yep, Twinkie Town is looking for a new site manager.]
  • Not everyone is changing positions, however, as Tony Clark got a three-year extension as the head of the player’s union. So... can he sped up these slow offseasons a bit or something?
  • Over at Twins Daily, Nick Nelson pondered where the Twins are going to get their OBP from, now that they no longer have Joe Mauer, Robbie Grossman, or Brian Dozier.
