The news can not be halted

The Twins are in the mood for some infielders today, picking up Johnathan Schoop roughly 3 seconds before signing former Yankee Ronald Torreyes to a one year deal.

Reportedly the pact with the utility infielder will be for $800k if he makes the MLB roster. Torreyes hit 280/.294/.370 in 41 games with our mortal new-yorker foes last year and owns a career line of .281/.310/.375 over 4 seasons.

No one is yet sure if he’ll be willing to change his name to Ed, but we’ll keep you posted.
