Welcome, welcome! We have links here for one and all! Step right up and get your links! Spring training will be here in less than a week! In the meantime, it seems like people are starting to remember that the Twins are a thing.
- MLB.com’s Richard Justice thinks the Twins are the top team that needs to make a move yet this offseason.
- Meanwhile, at SI, they actually realized Minnesota sports teams exist. Jay Jaffe profiles the Twins as a team that should “Spend to Contend.” His view is pretty conventional — that we should sign Darvish and probably a DH type.
- The four-letter guys remembered us too! David Schoenfield took a look at the most-improved offenses in the second half of last season, and evaluated their likely hood to break out this season. Their analysis seems pretty fair, even if it isn’t exactly what Twins fans want to see.
- If the Twins do sign a player during spring training, he may have spent some of it at a union-organized free agent camp. Hopefully there are arts and crafts, canoeing, and pranks, like every 90’s camp movie.
For today’s soundtrack, we are going to go back to the “stuff I like” theme. I’m available to DJ your next party (but please don’t do that to yourself.)
