Sunday Twins: Vargas, Lynn, Cave, Berrios

• The Twins recently DFA’d Kennys Vargas, John Geiger at Puckett’s Pond has some parting words. Technically, he could still be a Twin, but that doesn’t seem likely.
• Lance Lynn seems to think the Twins are a good fit. I happen to think that too, Lance! Though this falls into the category of “things you should say about your new team”, I will take it.
• Mike Berardino has a nice piece about the Twins shiny new outfielder Jake Cave. He grew up a fan of Harmon Killebrew and Michael Cuddyer, which is nice.
• Last year Jose Berrios made some strides towards becoming the next ace of the starting rotation. Nick Nelson at Twins Daily thinks he’s poised to take even more this year.
• The Twins play the newly-Jake-Arrieta’d Phillies today at 12:05 CT, and you can watch it on FSN or MLBN. Marvelous.
