They say good things come to those who wait. Well today you don't have to wait very long for Twins baseball. They also say the early bird gets the worm. Well it's too damn cold for birds, or worms, or even baseball for that matter, but here we are.

Coming off a nice 4-1 victory yesterday over the defending World Champion Houston Astros, the Twins look to take the third and deciding game in the series and keep pace with the Cleveland Indians at the top of the AL Central.

Lance McCullers Jr (1-1 3.48 ERA)starts today for the Astros. He will be hoping to throw his first quality start of this young season.

Kyle Gibson (1-0 0.87 ERA) will take the mound for the Twins. Gibson was fantastic in his first start this year against Baltimore. He was knocked around a bit in his last start pitching just 4.1 innings, but managed to come away with limited damage.

Game Fact: Joe Mauer is much taller than Jose Altuve. He also leads the reigning MVP and batting champ .407 to .370 in the batting average department so far .
