Where in the world is Brian Dozier?

This is not the first time that Brian Dozier’s name has come up in trade talks. Indeed, he spent an entire off-season getting fitted for a Dodgers uniform before that transaction crumbled.

Now, though, it seems like it might really happen.

In the wake of Baltimore moving Manny Machado to Los Angeles, Minnesota’s perennial All-Star is rumored to be headed elsewhere. Per The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal, Dozier might be within driving distance, with Milwaukee mentioned as a strong contender for his services. Maybe he can use his veteran wisdom to tell that Hader twerp to stay off Twitter.

(Another sign that he might be on the move? Columnists for both papers have written their “it’s been good to know ya” pieces.)

That said, the rumors are still out there, but he’s still here. The Twins are in Kansas City tonight. As far as we know, he’ll be in the lineup and playing second base. The Boy Geniuses may just decide to go with the qualifying offer/high draft pick route this winter.

But maybe not.
