- Do we love big, long, hard mashed taters? Doggone right we do! With the season almost complete, an unlikely Twin has the longest average home run for the year almost sewn up! I guess his banishment did him some good, after all.
- OH MY GOODNESS! There is a new commercial starring Bartolo Colon eating ribs. BRB, I need to go buy some charcoal.
Stay stoked throughout the @MLB playoffs and beyond. #NoOffseason pic.twitter.com/QaaH44krSD

- Aaron Gleeman transcribed and published parts of his excellent interview with Thad Levine from Baseball Prospectus night at Target Field. It was a wide-ranging conversation, and Levine was fairly open about the team’s evaluative processes, their trade deadline strategy, plans for Byron Buxton and Miguel Sano, and some other big topics.
- Brandon Warne looks at the currently unresolved situation with the Twins’ future double-A affiliation. Next year the Lookouts will be a Cincinnati Reds affiliate, and the Twins prospects will be playing in either Pensacola, FL or Amarillo, TX. I think Pensacola makes more sense, given the team’s presence in Fort Myers, but I selfishly hope its Amarillo, as that’s a pretty reasonable drive for me to make!
- ESPN ranked the high point of the season for each team that isn’t making the playoffs, and this is your Willians Astudillo tidbit for the day. Also of note, that top-ranking google result they mention... Nice job Myjah!
- The Twins are recruiting their 2019 interns. You know that’s how Dave St. Peter got his start, right? If this link sets you on the path to be the Twin’s future President, I want you to mail me a hat or something once you make it.
Join our team! We are now accepting applications for the 2019 #MNTwins Internship Program. https://t.co/IDPSKQEjnQ pic.twitter.com/7RmBkMm523

- Although it has nothing to do with the Twins, It’s worth pointing out that the Vikings-Rams game tonight will make history, as the NFL’s first all-female broadcast booth will be available via Amazon Prime.
- And on a sad note, yesterday was the great Twins beat writer Mike Berardino’s last day on the job. He’s moving on to cover Notre Dame football instead. Congrats, and holy cow can I have some cake?
Congrats to @MikeBerardino on his new position with @IndyStarSports covering Notre Dame Football.

After 6 seasons covering the @Twins for the @PioneerPress - tonight marks his final game! Good luck Mike! pic.twitter.com/dYvy6ummic
