Twins starter Jake Odorizzi pitched a couple scoreless frames before getting bitten by the home run bug. A 2-run shot from Alex Bregman in the 3rd, and another 2-run dinger by Evan Gattis in the 4th gave the Astros a quick 4-0 lead.

DH Willians Astudillo hit his 2nd big league homer in the 5th. The home run was glorious and magical just like everything this man does.

A pair of walks and an RBI single led to another run for Houston in the 5th, and would be the end of the day for Odorizzi.

Reliever John Curtiss made an appearance in the 6th after recently being called up from the minors. Despite putting up good numbers in AAA, he has yet to have an effective outing in the majors. Tonight was no different, striking out the first two batters he faced before giving up back-to-back doubles and another Houston run.

Matt Belisle did what Matt Belisle does best and Matt Belisled the bases loaded for the Astros in the 8th. Alex Bregman then hit a two-out 3-run double just over the reach of left fielder Robbie Grossman. 9-1 ‘stros

The Astros sweep the series and the Twins head home to face the Royals for a 3 game series starting Friday night at 7PM.
