Dyson outrighted by Twins, becomes free agent

Reliever Sam Dyson was outrighted by the Minnesota Twins and rejected his assignment, making him a free agent, per LaVelle E Neal III of the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Dyson was acquired at the trade deadline this year in a swap with the San Francisco Giants for Jaylin Davis, Kai-Wei Teng, and Prelander Berroa. His season ended after being shut down due to biceps tendonitis and had surgery that sidelines him for most of 2020. Dyson posted a 7.15 ERA with eight strikeouts and six walks while allowing three homers in 12 appearances with the Twins.
