The Minnesota Twins have another coaching position to fill this off season. Assisting pitching coach Jeremy Hefner has been hired to be the new pitching coach of the New York Mets. Hefner saw time as a pitcher with the San Diego Padres, Pittsburgh Pirates, Mets, and St Louis Cardinals organizations, seeing major-league time with the Mets. He retired in 2017 and became a scout for the Twins and was promoted to assistant pitching coach before the 2019 campaign. Good luck to Hefner in his future role (except when the Mets are playing the Twins)!
