That’s right, Manny Machado finally signed!!! He set a record, earning a ten year contract worth $300 million, although that number will likely soon be eclipsed by Bryce Harper. Mark Feinsand was first on that tidbit.

Most important for us, Twins fans, is that the White Sox freaking blew it. After we spent all offseason hearing that the Sox were serious players on the superstar infielder, we won’t have to worry about him kicking our asses up and down the AL Central for the next ten years. Let’s keep him and Harper and like every other big name player in the NL, if the Twins aren’t going to sign them.
As the dominoes start to fall, the Twins roster is looking more and more final at this point. Dallas Keuchel and Craig Kimbrel still remain out there, if you want to keep hoping the Twins do something shocking, but I’ll be utterly amazed if they do.
