FIRST PITCH: 1:10 pm CDT
TV: FSNO
RADIO: TIBN
Taking down Corey Kluber yesterday was a blast — but the gauntlet of Cleveland pitching is just getting started.
This afternoon, the Twins will take on social media personality and newly-minted All-Star, right-hander Trevor Bauer. He’s been a routine opponent for Minnesota for the better part of this decade, but last year he broke out with a 2.21 ERA and a sixth-place finish in American League Cy Young voting. Armed with a diverse arsenal of breaking stuff, Bauer will be looking to replicate last year’s success, and make the Twins his first victims.
On the flipside is Jake Odorizzi, who hopes to be in recovery from an aggressively mediocre 2018 campaign, and get that ERA back down to sub-4.00 levels. Much like the opener, today’s contest may have to do less with how well Jake fares against Cleveland’s Columbus Clippers-inspired lineup, and more to do with whether or not Minnesota can find openings against Bauer.
GO TWINS GO!!!
