The series was supposed to commence yesterday, but an untimely snowstorm has abridged this mid-April series with the Motor City Kitties to just two games. The first of them comes today, with Michael Pineda making his third start of the young season against new Tiger, Tyson Ross.
Pineda has nine innings under his belt across two starts so far this year, where he’s given up just two earned runs and struck out ten. He’s been stretching out pitch-wise, and we return to an American League park, so it’s time to see just how long he can pitch.
On the flip side, Tyson Ross will be making his third career start for Detroit. A ten-year veteran, Ross has spent a lot of time in California (three years in Oakland and two separate stints with the Padres), so the cold weather may offer an additional home-field advantage to the Twins this afternoon.
GO TWINS GO!!!
