Happy Easter to those who choose to celebrate.
In case you missed it:
- The Twins scored 22 runs on the way to taking both games of the double header.
- Game one’s recap
- and Game two
Elsewhere in Twins Territory
- MASN asked Jonathan Schoop about his return to his longtime baseball home, Camden Yards.
- Eddie Rosario says he feels really comfortable right now. I would imagine he does, with the day he had yesterday.
- Keith Law ranked the most loaded MiLB rosters at this point of the season, and a Twins affiliate made the cut. The Fort Myers Miracle is home to Royce Lewis, Akil Baddoo, and a host of other highly regarded prospects. (E$PN In$ider)
- The Twins were whupping the Orioles bad enough that Baltimore put position player Chris Davis on the mound. He hits like a pitcher, so I guess that makes sense. Anyway, Davis struck out Ehire Adrianza on a nasty 82 mph heater.
Elsewhere around baseball
- The Royals might be bad this year, but no one can say they’re slow. One of their fastest players, Terrance Gore, has agreed to race the Freeze in Atlanta. Apparently Beat the Freeze is still a thing.
- The “Baseball Brit” is trying to go to 162 games this season, and recently talked to NPR about his quest.
- A ranking of the best “Bullpen Trios” in baseball. Can we maybe get partial credit for seeing a couple old friends on the list? Maybe by the end of the season, some combination of Parker, May, Rogers, Reed, and Hildenberger will find their way onto a list like this. Stranger things have happened (not many, but a few.)
Today’s discussion question:
What is your favorite “potluck” style dish?
