Twins 4, Orioles 1: More dingers!

Can the Twins just keep playing the Orioles forever?

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: Max Kepler hit a home run against the Baltimore Orioles. This one was on the first pitch of the game, and it was his third consecutive at-bat with a home run. I don’t think Max wants the Orioles to leave town, but apparently they have to.

Byron Buxton hit his first home run of the season (which Dick Bremer predicted!) to lead off the third, which was on the first pitch of the inning. Sensing a theme here? I sure am!

Marwin Gonzalez did something that was previously thought to be an impossible feat by a Twins player. That feat was driving in a run without hitting a home run. It was a bloop single in between two outfielders. The ball was probably misplayed, but a hit is a hit!

Other than a Chris Davis home run in the 7th, Kyle Gibson was fantastic. He completed 7 innings and struck out 6, only allowing 3 hits! So we got Good Gibby today! Trevor Hildenberger and Blake Parker combined to finish off the 8th and 9th, and that was that. The Twins improve to 16-9 and remain at the top of the Central!
