The red hot Jake Odorizzi takes the mound for the Twins. I’m not sure I expected to find myself typing those words. Odo has been near unhittable of late, his 2.32 ranks second in the AL. He hasn’t given up a run in 20 innings. He’ll probably get rocked, because I typed this paragraph.
Facing Odorizzi will be Trevor Cahill. Cahill hasn’t had the most ideal first part of the season—he is sporting a 2-3 record (although pitcher wins are pretty much worthless) and a 6.35 ERA. Just the kind of pitcher who has historically silenced the Twins bats. But, these aren’t the Twins of old, and they play the games for a reason.
The Angels might be a couple games under .500, but they still have a formidable squadron, and a good team should win this series. Lets see if the Twins can take two-of-three at home from the visiting celestial beings.
