Game 44: Twins @ Seattle

It’s Pacific Northwest time! Which has completely melted my brain.

Time: 7:10 Central. Vegas Line: dead darn even

Weather: Overcast, 50°, That’s The Northwest, All The Time

Opponent’s SB site: Lookout Landing

TV: FSN. Radio: 50% hate spew, 50% Twins, 50% weather, yes that adds up wrong

I hail from the great Pacific Northwest, and have much to say about it. So much, in fact, I panicked about writing this and got blotto this morning. Mrs. James had to shake me and go “aren’t you supposed to cover the game tonight?” Correct, as usual.

Short version, I have a love/hate relationship with the Pacific Northwest. There are great things about it, and less great things. Randy Johnson pitched there, and he’s awesome. Ken Griffey. Ichiro. It’s probably best that you aren’t getting the long version, it was a hot mess.

Jimi Hendrix used to sit beyond the outfield in Tacoma, a Seattle suburb, and watch minor-league games there. This is true. He wrote the song “Manic Depression,” which is also true.
