In case you missed it
- Cooper nominated April’s players of the month for the Twins
- Ethan took you through notable events in Twins history for the month of May
Elsewhere in Twins territory
- Jonathan Schoop’s homer last night was the longest dong hit by the Twins in quite awhile
465 foot dinger!

- The Twins might be a real breakout team, according to 538. Take their stats for what you may.
- For all of the Twins success, people haven’t been heading out to games at Target Field. I blame the weather, but hopefully this turns around.
- Former Twin Steve Lombardozzi will throw out the first pitch at the St. Cloud Rox (of the Northwoods league) opening game.
Around baseball
- Cleveland’s Corey Kluber was hit by a line drive, and appears to have fractured his right ulna. You never want to see a guy get hurt, but does help the Twins chances in the division.
X-Rays at Marlins Park revealed a non-displaced fracture of R ulna for Kluber.

He will be evaluated in Cleveland tomorrow to reconfirm and access time table.
- The Athletic brought us a history of the term “red ass” in baseball. A red ass being generally a guy that is quick to anger and/or has a hot temper, but is a flexible term. Reminds me of a certain former Twins and current Tigers manager. ($$$)
- A more serious and important topic, Rich Hill opened up about his infant son Brooks, who was born with several conditions that combined to take his life at just a couple months of age.
- The Red Sox have banned Fortnite from their locker room, as one more example of how they are the antithesis of all things fun.
