Winners of nine of their last ten, the Twins are averaging 10 runs per game over the previous six ballgames. They’ve lost back-to-back games just once all month and just three times all year long.

Today, they’ll yet again have the privilege of facing a recently-injured starter; this time it’s lefty Manny Banuelos, who’s been out of action for two weeks after straining a shoulder in Cleveland. It’s a great day to raise his 7.26 ERA even higher.

Going for the Twins is Kyle Gibson, Minnesota’s most “meh” starter this year. Decidedly league-average (going by his even 100 ERA+), Gibby has the highest non-Pineda ERA on the team, but is also enjoying career highs in K/9, BB/9, and WHIP.

Lineups happening soon.
