In case you missed it:
- The Twins absolutely socked the White Sox, which isn’t surprising. What is surprising? Our hometown heroes didn’t homer until the third inning.
- Speaking of homers, Sano’s round-tripper in the third inning marked the Twins’ 100th bomb of the season. For comparison sake, the Twins jacked 166 homers last season. What’s more, the Twinkies are the second team in Major League history to hit 100 four-baggers in first 50 games of the season. How many home runs will they hit this season?
- Speaking of Miguel Sanó, he’s hitting .364 with four home runs, six runs batted in, and just three strikeouts in his last three games. Most Improved Player, anyone?
Elsewhere in Twins Territory:
- After yesterday’s drubbing, the White Sox faithful are feeling faithless.
- Trevor Larnach made his way to MLB Pipeline’s Top Prospect Performers list by breaking out of a 1-for-17 slump by going 2-for-4 with two doubles. But he didn't homer. So why the hell should we care?
- The Washington Post calls our favorite squad “surprising” and “unorthodox.” But the true great baseball minds among us saw this coming.
Around the league:
- Trevor Story hit a two-run shot last night, making him the fastest shortstop to reach that milestone. (Take that, A-Fraud.)
- Former Twin Big Sexy Bartolo Colón celebrated his 46th birthday with this impossibly awesome cake.

- Christian Yelich is good. Like, really good. He even has an MVP to prove it. Better yet, he has 20 home runs this season. Just because the players aren’t juicing doesn't mean the balls aren’t.
Just for funsies:
- José Canseco is easily one of my favorite ballplayers of all time. I realize that says more about me than it does him. Andy Samberg gets it.

Today’s discussion:
Raise your hand if you thought C.J. Cron manning first base was a downgrade from Joe Mauer manning first base.
