Max Kepler earns Player of the Week honor

Right as All-Star voting opens up too...

MLB: Minnesota Twins at Toronto Blue Jays Dan Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports

For the second time in 2019, a Minnesota Twins has earned player of the week honors! Right Fielder Max Kepler won the AL Player of the Week award this time and it was well deserved. He hit .571/.600/1.190 (1.790) with 4 doubled, 3 home runs, 10 RBIS and 10 runs scored. He also has had multiple hits in six straight games. He joins Jake Ododirzzi in the Twins Players of the week for 2019. The National League winner was Nolan Arenado.

This strong week from Max built on what was already looking like a breakout season for the outfielder. After signing a five year extension the Twins have shown their trust in him by putting him in the leadoff spot where he is hitting .288/.364/.595 (.958). The average OPS in the leadoff spot is .756 so Max is exceeding in that area.

Kepler is showing off his ability and is making a case for the All Star game so get out and vote for your Minnesota Twins!
