Previously on Twinkie Town:
- Hayden somehow had the wherewithal to write a good recap after the Twins broke reality and defeated the Yankees at Yankee Stadium. Honestly at this point I’m still not sure if I’m dreaming or if someone slipped a large amount of drugs in my Apple Bubly.
- We also did one of these yesterday. Wow! (There will be one tomorrow too, whoa!)
Over Yonder in Twins Territory
- Cleveland acquired Adam Rosales from the Twins. In other news, the Twins apparently still had Adam Rosales. In related news, Adam Rosales isn’t retired.
- Why yes, of course there is a link between Jeopardy! and Twins baseball. How could there not be? (A link besides Myjah being an expert live tweeter of both, of course.)
- Despite being the best team
of all timein the MLB, absolutely no one is going to Twins games. - The Twins remind Nelson Cruz of the 2010 Rangers. In case you can’t think that far back, that is a good thing.
Around the League in Links:
- Wes Jenkins over at The Hardball Times looks at the concept of doubling the amount of teams in the league, splitting it in two, and adding relegation. It actually feels like it would solve a lot of problems, but obviously will never happen. I want to find a way to sim a league like that on a video game though.
- It is never too early to dream on some forthcoming free agents! MLBTR has the power rankings for 2019-20 free agents up!
Random Conversation Starter:
If you could magically domesticate (make it not maul you, and also poop in a box) one species of animal and have it as a pet, what species would it be?
My choice is the Capybara.
