Heading into their two-game series with the slightly less-despised team from New York, the Twins will see the return of two of their most prominent Bomba Squad bomba-ers.
As first reported by Twins Daily’s Ted Schwerzler, Eddie Rosario and C.J. Cron have been moved to the active roster off the Injured List and are in today’s lineup.

Rosario had been on the IL since June 28 after spraining his ankle running the bases two days before, while Cron was sidelined July 6 with right thumb inflammation. In both players’ absence, the Twins went 3-2, scoring 22 runs and hitting six homers.
To open one of those roster spots, per The Athletic’s Dan Hayes, the Twins have designated reliever Mike Morin for assignment:

In 23 appearances, Morin recorded a 3.18 ERA and 0.971 WHIP, but struck out only 11 (for a 4.4 K/9) and posted a 4.49 FIP.
The 28-year-old’s designation leaves three open spots on the 40-man roster.
To open up the second 25-man spot, the Twins placed Byron Buxton on the 7-day concussion IL. The move was announced, and the others confirmed, by manager Rocco Baldelli.

Buxton was injured making a diving catch against Cleveland July 13.
